That is, someone who is responsible for managing, leading, supporting or advising on work within an MSP environment. You should also be capable of applying the MSP guidance in a relatively uncomplicated programme within an environment that uses Managing Successful Programmes (MSP).
This level is also a prerequisite for programme management professionals progressing toward the Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Advanced Practitioner certification.

MSP 5th Edition Foundation Exam:
- Multiple choice questions
- 60 questions per paper with one mark available per question
- 30 marks required to pass (out of 60 marks available) - 50%
- 60 minutes’ duration
- Closed book.
Delegates will be provided with exam vouchers to book online exams directly with PeopleCert, for all Virtual Courses. Paper-based foundation exam will be held on the third day of training, and paper-based practitioner exam will be held on last day, for all classroom and in-house trainings.
MSP 5th Edition Practitioner Exam:
- Application and Analysis Testing
- 70 question items
- 38 marks required to pass
- Two-and-a-half hours’ duration
- Open book exam. Candidates may use the official printed hard copy of the 5th edition of Managing Successful Programmes Guide. The manual may be annotated and tabulated but no sticky notes and loose leaf papers containing additional notes will be allowed.
Foundation exam is a pre-requisite for practitioner level. In an unlikely situation where a delegate fails the foundation exam, they will not be allowed to site in the practitioner exam. Delegate would need to book the practitioner level exam separately either through Tecknologia or directly with PeopleCert.
